According to several specialist media outlets, Stellantis is currently working on a potential electric reimagining of the Citroën 2CV, due to be launched by 2028.
This suggests a strong trend within the automotive sector: evolving iconic models whilst retaining the DNA that has defined several generations.
In recent years, models such as the Volkswagen New Beetle, the Fiat 500, the DS, and at Renault the R5, the R4 and, more recently, the Twingo, have demonstrated manufacturers’ desire to keep their automotive heritage alive through today’s technologies.
